Operating record
Khokhani's first significant venture was Soar Aviation, a Melbourne-founded flight training business that grew from a single aircraft to a fleet of roughly 55. The growth model is the notable diligence point: expansion was funded through customer prepayments and operating cash flow from the existing fleet rather than priced equity rounds or syndicated debt. Under his leadership the company became Australia's largest independent flight school.
Khokhani then sold the majority of his stake and stepped back from any operational or directorial role. After his exit, decisions made under new management drew regulatory scrutiny, and the company entered administration in December 2020. The demarcation matters for any assessment: during the period that led to administration, Khokhani held no directorship, no control and no management role. The subsequent legal outcomes, including a class-action settlement, were resolved against corporate entities, not against Khokhani personally. We examine this sequence in detail in our Soar Aviation case study.
His second operating chapter was a consumer-finance business in which he acquired roughly a one-third interest. During his involvement revenue grew from approximately $45 million to $82 million, and the business was exited at an enterprise value of about $121 million.
Corporate record vs personal record
This profile is a textbook example of why our corporate-versus-personal-liability check exists. The adverse events associated with the Soar Aviation name are institutional: they attach to the corporate entity, they postdate Khokhani's exit from ownership control and management, and they produced no personal findings against him. Even critical coverage of the collapse concedes that no personal criminal charges, personal enforcement actions or findings of personal director misconduct have been identified.
Documented operating record with two exits; the one corporate failure in the record occurred after the founder had sold majority ownership and left management. Personal record is clean on every register we check: courts, regulators, director-conduct findings. Claims made on his own platforms are consistent with the public record.
Current platform
Khokhani now invests through Epochal Corporation, a private single-family office. It deploys the principal's own capital rather than outside money, with a long-horizon, concentrated mandate across public equities, private operating businesses and alternative assets. It is not a fund, which is itself a diligence-relevant fact: there is no external investor base and no capital-raising activity to assess.
Two positions define the platform publicly. The first is a long-term shareholding in IREN (Nasdaq: IREN), established in 2022, with a thesis on AI infrastructure published openly through the Epochal platform and his Substack. The second is Vachi Storage, a high-margin self-storage operator in the United Arab Emirates that he continues to own and operate. He also maintains The Epochal Collection, a private contemporary art collection with works by Ed Ruscha, Richard Prince, Alex Katz and others.
